Alright, this one needs very little introduction; a vintage 1983 USA Jackson Randy Rhoads Custom RR1 electric guitar in white finish. With the serial number of RR0096, this one is number 96 of the first 100 ever made, and is a literal piece of guitar history! Perfect for all the collectors out there.
This initial run of the RR1 was built differently than the later models as these have larger neck profiles (like the Les Pauls he played prior to this model), along with higher quality frets and the premium dark ebony boards that are almost black in color.
This one is all original, aside from the bridge pickup, which was swapped out for the exact same model many years ago. The original pickup is pictured AND included in the sale.
Overall, the guitar is in fantastic condition for its age, with some minor signs of use, but absolutely nothing out of the ordinary. No major nicks, dents or dings. The points have a few dings as pictured, but those are incredibly common for this style of guitar.
The nitro paint is still super white, with barely any yellowing..we can't understate that this guitar has been treated extremely well over the years!
Frets and fretboard are in remarkably clean condition with YEARS of life left.
As one would imagine, the guitar plays wonderfully...low action across the board.
It is also worth mentioning that this guitar was originally purchased in 1983 by one of Randy Rhoads well known guitar students, Steve Sunnarborg of the band Tempest. His name along with the band's is stenciled on the side of the case as shown.
Weighs in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces.
Comes with original case.
No Rhoads collection is complete without a piece like this, especially in this superb of condition!
