For your consideration is a vintage 1967 Gibson ES-335-TDC-12 12 string guitar in red finish. This guitar has seen a lot in its lifetime, but it is a player that is meant to be played, and is ready to go! This one has the jangly tone you'd come to expect from a 12 string ES 335.

Headstock looks fantastic, tuners are in good working order. Fretboard is not only a beautiful piece of wood, but is in superb condition...some signs of use, but nothing unsightly or detrimental. The frets do have some signs of wear, but do have lots of life left...no major dead spots or divots. The width of the fretboard is a little narrow, so this is perfect for a player with smaller hands. The neck itself has a "just right" feel to it...not worn out, but worn in perfectly.

This one did have the humbuckers removed, then was slightly routed out to accommodate vintage Rickenbacker style toaster single coil pickups. As expected, they have a bright and vivid voice that gives this guitar a unique tonality. Although this was a major modification, it does add a hefty amount of "1 of a kind" mojo to the instrument.

As pictured, there is plenty of finish checking all over the instrument. Very common for these older 60's Gibsons. It's not detrimental, and some may argue it adds to the intangible "X factor" of the tone.

This came to us with finicky and incorrect wiring, so our luthier returned it to factory specs...even using cloth wiring.

Plays well and does sound angelic...there is nothing quite like an electric 12 string!

Comes with original case.
